Cambodian Bistro

Angkor Grill is the newest culinary addition to a family of restaurants opened right here in the Bay Area. The source of our exotic dishes stem from family gatherings, recipes passed down from generation to generation and now introduced to the world.

Our first sister restaurant, Phnom Penh House, opened in 1986, when our family was given political asylum after surviving the Khmer Rouge torment in Cambodia. Seeking a fulfilling life and a promising start in our new country, each member of our family put what we had together and opened our first business, a Cambodian restaurant in Oakland Chinatown. In 2004, due to appreciated patronage from our loyal customers, we were able to open up a second location, Phnom Penh Restaurant, in the beautiful Laurel District in Oakland. Decades after the opening of our first restaurant, our family is proud to introduce to Alameda, its first Cambodian eatery, Angkor Grill!

Our family has been in the restaurant business for over 25 years, offering authentic Cambodian home cooking. Each addition to the culinary scene represents how far we've come and how we've grown, individually, and as a family. We are sure you will enjoy our dishes, intricately flavored with exotic spices and herbs, and are excited to be able to share our family recipes and a bit of our culture with you.

We invite you to come and experience the tastes of Cambodia!
